Tears

16x12-inch print reproduction of a graphite drawing, reprinted on matte archival paper

A simple graphite pencil made this image possible. I drew the pattern within the iris in minute detail, and each individual eyelash is on full display. This is that moment when tears have welled up and one breaks free, allowing the rest to spill.
