Beyond the Horizon

I named this painting Beyond the Horizon because, despite the beautiful terrain, the main event is unfolding in the heavens. The woman, dwarfed by the vastness of her surroundings, stands mesmerized by the cosmic light show playing out in the immense sky.

But what exactly is happening? The answer is open to interpretation. Is she watching a supernova engulf her planet, or a meteor ignite the atmosphere? Is her world getting sucked into a vortex, or is an interdimensional portal opening? Whatever it is, she stands frozen in awe, beholding its beauty and inevitability.
